This Sunday, Bob’s guest will be MD and attorney Bruce Fagel. Together they’ll review the obscene income transfers inherent in pending health care reform legislation, and see how it stands up against core American principles. Is it reform (”amendment of what is defective” according to Webster’s) of health care or its destruction? Learn why Obamacare is a Trojan Horse, loaded with social engineering and massive income transfers. You won’t get this anywhere else.
Past Guests
Unions and The Economy
Bob interviews Steven Greenhut , author of “Plunder: How Public Employee Unions are Raiding Treasuries, Controlling Our Lives and Bankrupting the Nation.” Marty Hittleman, President of the California Federation of Teachers, joins the conversation to discuss the book as well. You’ll get two distinct points of view on the topics like tenure for teachers and the difficulty of filing incompetent teachers.
Poizner’s Run for Governor
02/07/10This Sunday, Bob will interview Commissioner Steve Poizner about his run for the Governorship and Libertarians will weigh in on his plans to fix the problems that plague our state. Bob and Steve will also chat about term limits and the question of whether they should be imposed on public officials. Don’t miss the chance to hear these views.
Are We All Felons?
01/03/10This Sunday, Bob will interview author Harvey Silverglate on the topic of his newest book “Three Felonies A Day. How The Feds Target The Innocent.” The book argues that Americans unknowingly commit crimes on a daily basis because federal criminal law is so vague. In fact, anyone can be indicted at any time for almost anything. The expansion of federal criminal law weakens the role of the states and destroys the basic principles of federalism our founders so dearly cherished.
Oral Roberts Meets Dr. Welby
12/20/09This Sunday, Bob will be joined by Edward Hudgins, Director of Advocacy at the Atlas Society to discuss the latest chapter in the Obamacare travesty. The health care proposal in congress is now being geared up to include coverage of faith based healing and other outrageous lobbyist driven ideas. Instead of being sent to a doctor when you’re sick, you may be turned over to a spiritual hotline to help you with your aches and pains. Oy vey.
Government Does Some Things Right? Maybe.
12/13/09This Sunday, Bob will interview celebrated author William Eggers about newest book “If We Can Put A Man on The Moon: Getting Big Things Done in Government.” Eggers is policy analyst who believes our great nation should be able to accomplish anything after our feat of sending a man to the moon. Eggers breaks down the infrastructure of big government and explains why some initiatives have failed, some succeeded and how working together could be the answer to so many problems.
Government vs. Private Industry
12/6/09Bob will explore licensing laws that regulate yoga studios in the state of Virginia. The government is hurting these businesses by collecting fees from proprietors who are training new instructors and it goes so far as to put them in jail if they don’t comply with the law. Rob Frommer, chief litigator from the Institute for Justice, will explain how this not only violates the constitution but goes against freedom of speech.
Organ Donations
11/22/09This Sunday, Bob will argue that buying and selling of body parts should be legal. The current system is flawed, favoring certain people who are fortunate and able to push themselves to the front of the waiting list. Everybody could benefit from a system that would also save more lives and compensate people for the commodities they have to sell. He will be joined by Professor Nancy Shepher-Hughes from UC Berkeley who will argue that because the practice is gruesome in third world countries, it should be outlawed in the US. Leaving the question to be answered: Why can’t we do it better here?
Ethics & Economic Freedom vs. Healthcare
11/15/09This Sunday, Bob’s guest will be MD and attorney Bruce Fagel.
Legalize Insider Trading
Legalize Insider Trading – Bob is joined by Don Boudreaux, an economics professor at George Mason University. They discuss why they believe insider trading should be legalized. If investing were based on real numbers rather than pure speculation the system would work more efficiently. Let’s even the playing field and allow everyone to have access to the same information.
